Applications
- As a relatively nonvolatile and inexpensive solvent, BG is used in many household and industrial products due to its surfactant properties.
- It’s mainly used as a high boiling solvent for paints, especially nitro spray paint, quick drying paint, varnish, enamel, and paint remover.
- It’s also as a non active diluent for adhesives, metal detergents, paint removers, fiber wetting agents, pesticide dispersants, drug extractants, and resin plasticizers.
- It’s usually produced for the oil industry because of its surfactant properties.
