It can dissolve with water and acetone, but its solubility in ethers is relatively low.

Applications
1. It's mainly used in the production of polyester, polyester resin, hygroscopics, plasticizers, surfactants, synthetic fibers, cosmetics, and explosives.
2. It can also be used as a solvent for dyes, inks, etc.
3. It can also be used as a wetting agent for cellophane, fiber, leather, and adhesives.
4. It can produce synthetic resin PET, fiber grade PET (polyester fiber), and bottle grade PET for making mineral water bottles, etc.
5. It can also produce alkyd resin, glyoxal, etc.
6. It’s also used for the transportation of industrial cooling capacity except being used as an antifreeze for automobiles. And can also be used as a condensing agent like water.
