China has about 130 plasticizer production lines, of which 2 have a capacity of more than 100,000 t/a, 6 have a capacity of 50,000 to 80,000 t/a, and the other are small devices with a capacity of less than 50,000 t/a. China's largest plasticizer production enterprises for Qilu Petrochemical Zibo Plasticizer Co., Ltd. and Jinling Petrochemical company, process technology are introduced from Germany BASF company, in addition, Taiwan Huaying Company, the United States ExxonMobil Company, Hong Kong Huari Company, United States Carbonization Company and other companies have or are building a capacity of more than 50,000 t/a plasticizer production equipment. The main consumer areas of plasticizers in China are PVC artificial leather, cable, shrink film, rolled film, PVC floor wall paper and pipe, etc. The main use areas are concentrated in Jiangsu, Zhejiang, Fujian and Guangdong regions, the world's largest plastics group - Formosa Plastics Group has prepared to invest in the construction of Asia's largest plastic production base in Zhejiang. 
The development of plastics industry is inseparable from plasticizers, the amount of plasticizers in the global plastic auxiliaries market accounts for about 60%, China's auxiliaries consumption accounts for 1/4 of the world's total, and continues to grow at an annual growth rate of 7%, the main application areas of plasticizers in PVC products, in 2010, China's demand for phthalate plasticizers exceeded 1 million t. With the development of materials "plastic replacement of wood, plastic replacement of steel" industry guidance, industrial PVC plastic products will extend to the national economy, national defense construction, national high-tech industry and other fields, of which the demand for industrial plasticizers will continue to grow. In 2010, the world's plastic demand reached 200 million tons, and the total sales of plasticizers accounted for 60% of plastic additives. 
China's consumption of plasticizers has exceeded that of the United States, becoming the largest country in the production and consumption of plastic products in the world. In recent years, the growth rate of plastic auxiliaries in China has remained at about 10%, far exceeding the average annual growth rate of 4% of plastic auxiliaries in the world, and the market potential is huge and the development prospects are broad.
