The Main Properties Of Plasticizer

Plasticizers are usually polar or partially polar in structure and are liquids with high boiling point, refractory and good miscibility with polymers or low melting point solids. The plasticizer is distributed between the large molecular chains, which can reduce the intermolecular force, reduce the viscosity of the polymer and enhance the flexibility. Plasticizer is divided into main and secondary plasticizer two categories, the role of the main plasticizer is very compatible with the resin, its permeability is small, low volatility, can improve the plasticizer efficiency.
The main plasticizers commonly used are phthalates and phosphate esters. Accessory plasticizers, also known as auxiliary plasticizers, have poor compatibility with polymers, so they need to be used with main plasticizers to achieve cost reduction. Commonly used accessory plasticizers include cold-resistant aliphatic dibasic acid esters and cyclic ester plasticizers.
Different types of plasticizers have different effects on the performance of products, in the actual production rarely use a plasticizer alone, often several plasticizers mixed, complementary properties, to achieve good plasticizing effect.
